Tabitha is busy growing and becoming more of a little person.
Apparently it was “cruel, cruel” to mention in our last post that Tabitha was walking without presenting photographic evidence. She is still at the stage where she will careen forward roughly six steps and then collapse triumphantly into your arms. She hasn’t started standing up and practicing much on her own yet, only with someone to walk to and fall on (although she knocked her sister over this way!)
She has also developed a ravenous appetite and can be found devouring large amounts of fruit.
One of her favorite games is hat/not a hat (in which you put various things on your head and then laugh about how silly you are), and peekaboo is still funny. She loves books, especially ones with cats in them.
Tabitha’s vocabulary seems to grow by the day. She can say book, cat, dog, mama, dad, down, up, more, again, and come, plus some other “buh” sounds and something that sounds remarkably like “got it!” when a ball is rolled to her. She can also make hand gestures for “come” and “all gone” and tries to snap her fingers.
She has a sweet and cuddly personality, in contrast to her sister, who is more of a singing/digging/dancing live sprocket. Tabitha enjoys watching Anastasia’s antics, and sometimes trying to join in, as long as Annie doesn’t grab her too tightly.
With all these new developments and growing into toddlerhood, another big change is coming up:
Zimmerbabe the Third, Approximately November Fourth.
